If you're a current Cedar Fair season pass holder, you are eligible for $10 off the registration fee for any distance. You won't receive a park ticket with this discount (…because you have one already!), but you will still get all the other race swag! From the home page, simply choose your park location and distance, then click the Register button. Add your chosen distance to the cart, and just before checkout, on the Add-Ons page, choose the No ticket/Season pass holder option. $10 will be deducted from your final total. Friends & Family Park Tickets
Once your registration is complete, you will receive a unique referral link to share with your friends and family via email and to post on social media. The more friends who register using your code, the more money and rewards you earn! More information can be found in your confirmation email.
For the half-marathon you must be able to maintain a 14-minute-mile pace. For the QM and 5K you must be able to maintain a 22-minute-mile-pace. In the event you do not make the cut off, you will be short-coursed.
Because of the nature of the courses with many twists and turns, some runners may report short distances with GPS. We design the courses using a gpx file based on map information to get the distance. As the race company, we reserve the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any race for safety concerns or for unforeseen issues at the venue. In the event this occurs, no refunds or credits will be provided.
Course, Time Limits/Pace
We are pleased to offer BibChip timing for the half-marathon, QM, and 5K. Awards are based on chip time. Gun and chip time results will be available on site soon after you cross the finish line. Be sure to check out your time at the timing trailer, and if you are eligible for an award, please stop by the awards tables, take some pics on the podium, and bask in the glory you’ve earned. We do not mail awards.
Age group awards will be presented 3-deep in all divisions, for all races, for male and female categories:
Kings Dominion and Valleyfair: Top 3 male and female under 12 (5K), 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
Cedar Point: Top 3 male and female under 12 (5K), 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+.
Awards are based on chip time.
Results and Awards (half-marathon, QM, and 5K only)
Spectators are welcome! They do not need a park ticket to cheer you on because the race begins and ends just outside the park gates before the park opens. However, who wouldn’t want to spend the day at the park? Click Extra Tickets in the top toolbar to purchase discounted Friends & Family Tickets, and click Lodging to find a comfy place to stay during your visit. Only runners are allowed in the park during the race, but the start/finish line is an excellent cheering location. Spectators also can cheer at other locations along the course.
If you would like to switch to a different distance, log in to your registration account, where you will have the option to change events. There will be no refunds to switch to a shorter-distance event. There may be a $15 transfer fee to change events. Transfers can be made up to 1 week before race day.
Switching Distances/Manage Registration
Once you cross the finish line, take some time in the Peanuts Run & Ride finish area to receive your finisher’s medal, take on some fluids, refuel with post-race snacks, and check out your time at the timing trailer. Then get ready for a day in the park!
Entry fees are nonrefundable. No exceptions.
Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you may not transfer your entry fee to future races.
You must be at least 12 years old to participate in the half-marathon and QM. You must be 4 years old to participate in the 5K event and older than 3 to run in the 1-mile fun run. (Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome in the 5K and 1-mile fun run.)
You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge of a half-marathon.
You must show photo ID to receive your race number.
Race numbers are required to participate.
No coaches, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers, or dogs will be allowed on the half-marathon course. Strollers are allowed on the 5K and 1-mile course but must start toward the rear.
Participants are permitted to wear earbuds or headphones but for safety reasons, they are not recommended.
Once you have registered for an event, we do not issue refunds. If for some reason you can’t make it to race day, feel free to come to packet pickup, pick up any race swag, cheer others on, and say hi! Entries are transferable to another participant up to 1 week before race day. All transfers must be done through our registration portal and there is a $15 transfer fee. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You also may not transfer your application to the following year or another Peanuts Run & Ride event.
The race will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the race start may be postponed or the course may be shortened. As the race company, we reserve the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any race for safety concerns. In the event the race is canceled, no refunds or credits will be provided. In the event a participant cannot attend a rescheduled date, no refunds or credits will be provided.
Cancellation and Weather Policy
The information booth will be positioned at the start and finish (packet pickup area) to assist you with any race-day questions.The information booth will also serve as the race-day Lost & Found. Any valuables found at the start or finish should be turned in to the information booth. Any valuable items not claimed at the finish by noon will be taken to the park’s lost and found department. To claim a lost item after the event, please contact the park’s Lost & Found.
Information Booth and Lost & Found
Emergency Medical Services will be stationed at the finish line. The medical team is on site to assist with minor medical emergencies. In the event there are any major medical emergencies, 911 will be called and those in need of care will be transported to the nearest medical facility.
Peanuts Run & Ride races are USATF-sanctioned events. Courses are not USATF certified.
Peanuts Run & Ride donates $10 per chapter volunteer to their chosen organization or club! Volunteering is a great way for groups to raise money for their cause and have fun together. Look for members volunteering on course and having fun in the park on race day!
